One thing I've been doing since about the time our son was in grade school has been to save all the photos I receive from friends & family during the holidays and then at the end of the season put them into little albums marked with the year.   This was our card this year, commemorating taking our one and only off to college with Grandma in tow and going home empty nesters! This album holds 3 years worth! I've found many of my little photo albums at places like Ross and Old Navy. It was pretty rare back then to find Christmas themed ones but I think the idea has caught on and they are not as hard to find. Now is actually a great time to pick up a few. I just completed one and am in the market for a new one for next season. One of my very favorite things about the holidays is getting Christmas cards in the mail. I must be honest...when I get one without a photo, I'm disappointed. I eagerly anticipate a new photo each Christmas from my friends and loved ones. They have become my favorite gifts. I've been saving them in albums for years, and put them out on display along with the rest of my holiday decorations. I love to sit, with a cup of tea or hot chocolate, and go through them every Christmas. It's pretty amazing, when you don't get to see most of these people day in and day out, how an annual photo really captures and documents their lives, especially when you save them from year to year.
