LA DOLFINA

Sorry I've been absent from my blog the last few weeks... I've been getting my feet wet with Instagram and although I'm really liking it, I must confess that I do miss my friends here in blogland! And so,  I'm back with yet another rendition of my black & white toile room otherwise known as our den/office. I think I may have finally gotten it right! It's been through several transitions over the last few years, especially since I started selling treasures in my Etsy Shop and Shop La Dolfina. I've been constantly tweaking things in order to make selling my wares more streamlined and efficient! I have to admit there has been more than one occasion where something has sold and I've been unable to locate it. Having enough space to lay things out, photograph, measure, list, pack and ship is essential. I have to let my matching toile sofa go in order to accommodate a large glass table. If...

Lots of changes are happening at our house which is why I've been MIA. This recent score is creating quite a stir in several rooms!   Ever since I embarked on upgrading our son's/guest room closet... I began to look around to see what else could be improved upon.   These pieces are headed for the dining room and toile room but I've made a few changes in the kitchen, master bath and family room as well.     I can't wait to show you!!!   Here's a glimpse for now...

Welcome!   I must warn you about eye candy overload upon entering...     ... this tiny little shop filled to the brim with the most dazzling array of treasures!     It's appropriately named the " Hen House ."     I think it's because only women, women of a certain breed, can handle such a place!     I once brought my treasure hunting friends Eddie Ross and Jaithan Kochar here and they lasted all of about 5 minutes...      ... before heading for the door!     I, on the other hand,      can spend countless hours poking around,     making sure I see everything     there is to see!     What's not to love about a shop,     whose treasures have been lovingly sourced     by someone who is smitten by beauty.     I could go on and on...     waxing poetic       about the power    ...
