LA DOLFINA

If you happen to live in the SF Bay Area you must make a trip to Orchard Nursery in Lafayette during the month of October.  I met up with my sister in law there this morning to walk around the Lafayette Reservoir and squealed with delight when I saw the plethora of pumpkins sprawled about the nursery grounds!     After finding the perfect white pumpkin we left on our walk.  Afterward we celebrated her impending birthday, tomorrow, with a lovely lunch at a wonderful new restaurant, La Boulange de Lafayette on Mt. Diablo Blvd.   It was a perfect fall day!

We have a "love affair" with our neighbor's dog, a strikingly handsome Westhighland Terrier named "Latte". Our neighbors graciously indulge this "love affair" with their dog. Whenever we appear at their door, they simply smile and say, "do you want Latte?" We couldn't think of a better way to start off the New Year than a wintry stroll around the Lafayette Reservoir with our favorite canine friend. A new adventure awaits... The view of the reservoir from the parking lot. It looks a lot colder than it really was. Alright, let's go... Right in step. Such a well trained dog! He looks so handsome in his plaid coat! These mile markers really help you go the distance. I'm so tired after one lap. I see folks much older than I take several laps around the reservoir! I think I spy a squirrel!
