Many of you are familiar with my friend Steven Small .  He is the talented photographer behind the amazing photos that I showcase each month from The Alameda Pointe Antiques and Collectibles Fair.  Come to find out, his daughter Megan Small, is also a  gifted photographer!     She resides in Southern California where she has her own photography business, Megan Small Photography .  It seems she does it all... weddings, pregnancy, showers, babies, children, family, parties, dogs, life ~ you name it, she'll photograph it!  The Life of Riley Now, for the photo opportunity! The Alameda Pointe Antiques and Collectibles Fair ~ February Since I decided to take my own photos of The Alameda  Pointe this month I waited a bit before posting my friend, Steven Small's photos.  I was happy to see that the subject of many of his photos were.. "The People and Faces of The Pointe".                                                                                               People watching...  a favorite American pastime.  

What started out as a foggy and cold early morning at the first Alameda Point Antiques and Collectibles Fair of 2010, turned out to be an absolutely gorgeous Spring like day! For the first time ever, I met Steven there and we walked the market together. It was a treat to see what he was attracted to and why... He loved the play of shadows... He seemed drawn to the offbeat... ...as well as the antique I think he has a thing for dolls... his wife is named "Dolly" (she let me have Steve all to myself this month) We had such a lovely day together, just strolling and chatting... ...mostly about life and philosophy. Every so often, he would stop when he set his sights upon something that drew him in. He would approach the vendor and ever so politely ask if they would mind if he took a photo.
