Delicious fresh eggs and lots of fun too! Back in February I did a post on a favorite shop of mine in Lafayette called The Hen House . The owner of the shop is Elizabeth,  known as "La Contessa". Last week she invited my Mom and I over for pink champagne in her garden. I had never been to her home but I imagined it would be pretty amazing based on her fabulous shop, Hen House . Let's just say... " pretty amazing" doesn't begin to cover it! It's so darn fabulous that pictures can hardly do it justice, but you know me...  I did my best! I thought I'd begin the tour with the hen house in her back garden.  As you can see, it's no ordinary hen house.  It has a chandelier, a chaise lounge and a french style niche complete with mirror for preening. There's La Contessa who I'll properly introduce you to tomorrow!

Welcome!   I must warn you about eye candy overload upon entering...     ... this tiny little shop filled to the brim with the most dazzling array of treasures!     It's appropriately named the " Hen House ."     I think it's because only women, women of a certain breed, can handle such a place!     I once brought my treasure hunting friends Eddie Ross and Jaithan Kochar here and they lasted all of about 5 minutes...      ... before heading for the door!     I, on the other hand,      can spend countless hours poking around,     making sure I see everything     there is to see!     What's not to love about a shop,     whose treasures have been lovingly sourced     by someone who is smitten by beauty.     I could go on and on...     waxing poetic       about the power    ...
