Fall Colors

-

I've never been a big fan of fall colors...

although I'm loving the "spice" shades in this gorgeous room.

This is such a lovely change of pace.

HAPPY FALL,

although you'd never know it here in the sweltering SF Bay Area!

Some of the color combinations really work beautifully. The subtle shades of autumn are as lovely as the brights!

Can you believe that built-in clock?! WoW..

You gave delicious ways to welcome fall.

Terri hope you have a beautiful but hot day! I think we've sent our sweltering weather to you all on the WC. Our weather (for once) is amazing.
Hugs xo

Gorgeous colours to brighten up a rainy day here. I heard you were having a heat wave there in California , sounds better than gray days. Hope all is well. Much love XO

I think it how one pulls together their fall season decor as to whether it looks fab or not. I have been thinking about doing all creams, whites and hints of gold for Thanksgiving. For fall, I'll be adding some outside decor to make my seasonal statement!

how funny you should post that first picture. I was just saying to someone this morning that I could use a little Hermes Orange in my life at the moment!

I can see you're building up to Halloweem slow but sure

He he..I'm not a fan of fall colors in my home either. I like them outside but not inside....but I do go all out for Halloween. Orange looks so pretty to me in October. But as soon as Thanksgiving is over...it's back to pastels for me. I do a pastel Xmas.

Oh Terri, it is hot in Southern California too!
113 in our area yesterday. I love the picture with the small pumpkins because last weekend I found small pumpkins with just a hint of a peach color stipe and others with a slight green stripe and they looks so nice with the all white pumpkins. I put them in with a few gourds and it says fall without having to be orange.
Stay cool, dear friend.

I found my bicycle! (my new old bicycle) The funny part is where I found it. Yesterday after finishing my post, " I'm longing for a new bicycle ," I was lamenting to my husband about how badly I wanted a bicycle of my own.  He looked at me and said, " but you have a bicycle."  (our vintage Colombia tandem beach cruiser) I said, "I know, I love the tandem but I would like my own bicycle."  He said, "You do have your own bicycle... remember you bought one at a garage sale late last summer?" The light bulb went off and the memories came flooding back!  All of a sudden I remembered the day I scored my awesome vintage bicycle at a garage sale on Briggs Avenue for $20!  I ran to the backyard where it had been covered up with a large brown tarp for the winter.  I squealed with delight at the sight of it!  I remembered when I bought it it had several small American flags attached to the front basket from being ridden in the 4th of July...

There is something about single beds... (Image via domino) I would love to sleep in a bunk bed again... if just for one night. I can just imagine the conversations that would take place in these rooms!   Summer memories are made here and here and here. Celebrating 28 years

28 years ago today I found my greatest treasure. Legends say that hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love,  joy and celebration.  Like a hummingbird, we aspire to hover and savor each moment as it passes, embrace all that life has to offer and to celebrate the joy of everyday.  The hummingbird's delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life's sweetest creation. Happy Anniversary Chris I love you madly!
