Your table looks amazing-I think I would just sit and stare at everything if I were there. We're having a girls night out tomorrow noght-dont know if that counts as entertaining!
Very pretty table Terri, here the week seems quiet, alot of people have taken the week off work. Children seeing friends, we sleep in late, simple meals. Good to relax. Sharon xx
Your table setting is gorgeous! We spent last night with a couple that we've been trying to get together with for the longest time. I love the days between Christmas and New Year's.
I have enjoyed my time off, spending time at the countryside, reading my favorite blogs, studying food, fashion and interior trends for 2011, enjoying the city, hitting the sales (I left Husband home, otherwise it wouldn't have been fun for neither of us...)...
New Year we will spend on countryside (though only 25 min from Helsinki) with friends. Looking forward to it, we always have he best time together.
Absolutely LOVE your dining room and table setting - just beautiful!! I have the same blue goblets that I inherited from my mother still in boxes - reminds me that I must unearth them - they look lovely!!
What a beautiful tablescape! Love those colors! Our dinner will be simple...gotta have my collards and black-eyed peas! The year I skipped them was awful! lol Happy New Year to you and your family!...hugs...Debbie

Your table looks so lovely. How lucky anyone would be to be a guest of your's. I love this week between XMas and NY. Everything is at a slower pace and its the perfect time to get together with friends.
Your table is beautiful! I just love what you did... We are up in Montana this week spending time with our families. Have a wonderful week! Happy New Year! Take Care, Maria
One of my MOST favorite things to do, and I don't do it nearly often enough, is to have a small group over for dinner. I love the sharing of good food, wine and conversation of substance, as well as lots of laughter throughout the evening.
Your table looks absolutely lovely. Thanks for sharing!

What did you serve? Beautiful photo.......what is hanging over the buffet?
Me too! I spent time with old friends and catching up with our lives... How beautiful your table was and I know it was all in beautiful company~ I see the urn from me in the background...it found it's perfect home:) Hugs! XO
There is nothing better than entertaining. Feeding people & seeing the smiles on their faces as you share in each others company...simply the best. What a visual treat you put together for them. The table is just gorgeous!
I found my bicycle! (my new old bicycle) The funny part is where I found it. Yesterday after finishing my post, " I'm longing for a new bicycle ," I was lamenting to my husband about how badly I wanted a bicycle of my own. He looked at me and said, " but you have a bicycle." (our vintage Colombia tandem beach cruiser) I said, "I know, I love the tandem but I would like my own bicycle." He said, "You do have your own bicycle... remember you bought one at a garage sale late last summer?" The light bulb went off and the memories came flooding back! All of a sudden I remembered the day I scored my awesome vintage bicycle at a garage sale on Briggs Avenue for $20! I ran to the backyard where it had been covered up with a large brown tarp for the winter. I squealed with delight at the sight of it! I remembered when I bought it it had several small American flags attached to the front basket from being ridden in the 4th of July...
There is something about single beds... (Image via domino) I would love to sleep in a bunk bed again... if just for one night. I can just imagine the conversations that would take place in these rooms! Summer memories are made here and here and here. Rooms with twin beds compel you to have a conversation before nodding off. 28 years ago today I found my greatest treasure. Legends say that hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love, joy and celebration. Like a hummingbird, we aspire to hover and savor each moment as it passes, embrace all that life has to offer and to celebrate the joy of everyday. The hummingbird's delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life's sweetest creation. Happy Anniversary Chris I love you madly!
