The History of the Bar Stool

Bar stools began out of necessity.

No one really knows who first invented the bar stool.

One can only speculate that they are evolved forms of wooden chairs used in the past.

In the 50s and 60s especially, bar stools really took off and could be found in nearly every bar or restaurant around.

This is when they really began to change shape and be found in different sizes, colors, materials and styles.

They would only continue to grow from there.
