T is for Thanksgiving Treasures
This morning I started shopping my cupboards for some Thanksgiving inspiration and pulled out the following things which include some old and some new acquisitions...
I found this set of monogrammed dishes in a thrift store last summer on our way up to Lake Tahoe.
My initial thought was T is for Terri but now I realize T is for Thanksgiving!
I will definitely be using these on my Thanksgiving table this year!
I also found this vintage European table number from Barcelona that I think will be fun on the table.
This is definitely the season for horn handled cutlery!
I picked these up from my friend Jana at The Alameda Point earlier this year.
I bought this from Mixed Pickles recently.
Doesn't it make the perfect wine holder?
I can't remember where I found these classic brass and wood butter knives but I think it's time try them out.
I've had these small horn bowls for a few years and have used them for individual butter pats.
I'm curious though... what would you use them for?
These were my biggest Thanksgiving themed score of the year!
A set of wood handled and sterling inlay knives in the original box.
I'm crazy about the deer and acorn motif!
I look forward to bringing out this classic horn handled carving set every Thanksgiving.
I especially love the patina and sterling details.
I finally scored both a spooner and a celery vase this year and am looking forward to using them on this most traditional of holidays!
I also found the perfect Thanksgiving corkscrew this year!
I'm not even sure what this is but I love the color and thought it would provide a bit of whimsy on the table.
I know it is from France but does anyone know what it is used for?
I found this last year and love using it at Thanksgiving for olives and cornichons.
The warm oak hues of this biscuit barrel exude the feel of Thanksgiving.
I'm going to use it to serve extra angel biscuits at the table.
The discolorations and crazing on these ironstone pieces are picture perfect!
I adore the tension of the formal and the informal together!
I love this funky old food dome I purchased from my friend Jordan a few months ago... it will make a great photo op sitting next to the turkey!
No Thanksgiving would be complete without an appearance by La Dolfina!
I'm always thrilled to add another dolfina to my growing collection...
I picked up this pair of wooden stands last weekend at an estate sale with Hollywood Forever, Kevin.
I'm going to pair one of them with this vintage mesh dome and use it to serve cheese.
I love the colors and how they marry so well with the mesh dome.
I added a few gold Limoges pieces to my collection this year which I'm anxious to use.
This unusual bowl is perfect for a side dish.
I will serve tea with dessert in this little beauty.
But not one of my Thanksgiving treasures can begin to compete with God's bounty...
Just look at these beauties!
They will definitely be making an appearance in our Thanksgiving menu!
