Imagine finding HERMES
At the thrift store!
Well that's just what my mom did last Sunday while I was at The Alameda Point.
She was visiting my brother and on her way home stopped off at one of her favorite haunts.
She said she caught sight of an interesting pattern among a row of blouses and couldn't quite believe her eyes when she pulled it out to examine it and noticed the HERMES tag.
She could hardly contain her excitement as she pulled out her cell phone to call and tell me what she had found... not 1 but 2 HERMES blouses!
The most incredible part was the $20 price tag!
Unable to get in touch with me she took them up to the counter telling the woman, "you know these are very expensive blouses."
The woman responded by saying, "yes, we understand they are worth several hundred dollars but we don't think people here are familiar with that brand."
She proceeded to say how happy she was that my mom was buying them and how lovely they must look on her.
Upon arriving home my mom called me to tell me about her score. I was incredulous and did not immediately believe her.
I made her bring them over straight away believing them to be fakes.
The minute she walked in with them I knew they were the real thing.
I have to take my hat off to her and dub her the Queen of Thrifting!!
I'm so proud :)
Oh... and did I ever tell you about the time she found me a CHANEL blouse for $5 at the thrift store?
She's Good, that MOM of mine!
