Show & Tell

-

I've been hitting a lot of great garage, rummage and estate sales this summer and wanted to show you a couple of unique items that I picked up recently that really intrigued me

The first one actually belonged to a Governor and then Senator of The State of California.

I'll let it speak for itself!

Ok, aren't they amazing?

Next up is a most ingenious way to store and use honey.

It makes perfect sense to me!

So, have you ever seen either one of these things before?

Hi Terri

The first one has me spellbound. My mind is racing trying to visualize the owner. What a treasure and conversation piece.

The honey container is also very special.

Wishing you a week of joy

Ok Terri
Those hangers charm me, If they were mine I think I would have to find a way to hang them on a rack that everyone could enjoy looking at them!
You truly find the best rumage tag sales, your so right I need to make a special visit to you my friend and we can go hit some of your estate, yard, garage, tag sales, you can take Hannah and I around to where you find the best of Broncante pieces.

Come see what I found, a $60.00 Monster of a unit and see the before and after, I had a little help on it, While Hannah was on summer break we got busy enjoying what we do best...CREATING !

Good Golly! I am in love with those handsome hangers. They remind me of fabulous "campaign" items / furniture made for high ranking men of the military! Cool finds, Terri.

Those hangers would make a great gift for any man or woman who travels a lot.

There usually aren't enough hangers in hotel rooms. I usually take a skirt hanger and a wire hanger for garments I want to steam in the bathroom after they have wrinkled in my suitcase.

What amazing finds! I'd love the hangars by themselves. The addition of the story makes them fabulous. I'd love that honey jar on my table!

I found my bicycle! (my new old bicycle) The funny part is where I found it. Yesterday after finishing my post, " I'm longing for a new bicycle ," I was lamenting to my husband about how badly I wanted a bicycle of my own.  He looked at me and said, " but you have a bicycle."  (our vintage Colombia tandem beach cruiser) I said, "I know, I love the tandem but I would like my own bicycle."  He said, "You do have your own bicycle... remember you bought one at a garage sale late last summer?" The light bulb went off and the memories came flooding back!  All of a sudden I remembered the day I scored my awesome vintage bicycle at a garage sale on Briggs Avenue for $20!  I ran to the backyard where it had been covered up with a large brown tarp for the winter.  I squealed with delight at the sight of it!  I remembered when I bought it it had several small American flags attached to the front basket from being ridden in the 4th of July...

There is something about single beds... (Image via domino) I would love to sleep in a bunk bed again... if just for one night. I can just imagine the conversations that would take place in these rooms!   Summer memories are made here and here and here. My one year bloggyversary! It's hard to believe I've been blogging for a year already.  It honestly feels more like a few months.  I know I've said it before but blogging has been a huge blessing in my life.  It has opened up a portal into this wonderful place we all call "blogland" and has allowed me to find and connect with others who share similar interests and passions.  My most precious treasures have always been the people and relationships I've made throughout my life and over the past year, because of blogging, I have hit the mother lode!      I am forever grateful that I sat down one year ago today and tentatively and nervously wrote my very first post , bravely putting myself out in the blogosphere not knowing what lay ahead... a leap of faith that has forever changed my life for the better!
