GULP!

I'm in a bit of a shock as I write this but it looks as if my entire blog might just have disappeared off the face of the cloud!

I enlisted my son via telephone one morning to help me from his college apartment when I couldn't receive any emails.

He ended up deleting, I think permanently, all my photos.

I'm so dizzy right now I'm not sure of anything except the real possibility that 6 years of my life that was so wonderfully documented on my blog may be gone forever...

I always thought I should convert all my blog posts into a book. It was always on the back of my mind.

I'm devastated...

and numb.

I'm still holding out for a miracle though... please send me your positive thoughts.

I worry about this all the time/ think about going to WordPress from Blogger.

My hubby just bought a backup last month so that I do not ever lose anything. It cost under $50 i believe. But if you frequently backed up your blog on Blogger it should be accessible. Contact them to find out.

I too want to make a book of my blog. Do you know how?

I hope your blog is restored to you. It is a nightmare to lose so much creative work. Hug xxo Kerrie

They say that nothing is ever lost. I would call the Geek squad and maybe they can find them for you. Makes me think I need to do a back-up on a hard drive. All of my early days Pinterest picts are gone off of my blog, due to Pinterest did not have a perma link at the time. What you gonna do, but just carry on. Sending you a hug!

I don't think it is possible to lose everything. Call a computer expert and contact blogger. I have found things via cache at times!

THAT IS TERRIBLE! I am so sorry. BUT, I have to say that I looked at your most recent blog post first after not reading any blogs for a long time and it really came across like you had cancer or some other awful illness. I was so sad for you and your family. I would be devastated if I lost all of my images and you have so many more than I do, but at least you've got your health :)

Holiday Home Tour - House #2

Both my mom and my uncle's homes were part of the Holiday Home Tour this year benefiting The Alameda Family Services League. My uncle's home is a grand old Spanish Revival that wraps the corner of Northwood Dr. (the street I grew up on) and Yale Dr. where he and my mom grew up and where my mom now lives. His address is actually Gibbons Drive which is one of the most beautiful tree lined streets in Alameda. "Alameda" actually means, tree-lined avenue!  This fountain greets you at the entry to his home. Santa had the perfect spot for a long afternoon of greeting guests.  You may remember the greeting he gave my mom when he saw her!! A lovely vignette awaits you at the door. My mom is no stranger to this house. They have lived in the same neighborhood, just a few houses apart, for over 40 years! We haven't had a summer vacation yet but all it took for me to get inspired to do a little upgrade to our summer room or as my hubby calls it, his mancave, which is actually our garage, was this little number... It had been sitting for the longest time in my favorite thrift store and as hard as I tried to ignore it, it finally got my attention when one night as I was watching a movie with my hubby I imagined it across the room replacing an existing bench. Bright and early the following morning I high tailed it over there hoping it would still be there waiting for me! I sighed a breath of relief when I spied it over in the corner.  It was originally priced at $250 but had been lowered recently to $100. I asked politely if they might meet me at $75.   They promptly agreed as they were anxious to free up space. Once I got it home it became the catalyst for further upgrades in the space.
