Hen House
Welcome!
I must warn you about eye candy overload upon entering...
... this tiny little shop filled to the brim with the most dazzling array of treasures!
It's appropriately named the "Hen House."
I think it's because only women, women of a certain breed, can handle such a place!
I once brought my treasure hunting friends Eddie Ross and Jaithan Kochar here
and they lasted all of about 5 minutes...
... before heading for the door!
I, on the other hand,
can spend countless hours poking around,
making sure I see everything
there is to see!
What's not to love about a shop,
whose treasures have been lovingly sourced
by someone who is smitten by beauty.
I could go on and on...
waxing poetic
about the power
of a treasure
that makes you dizzy
with desire
and delight
that you absolutely
cannot leave
without it!
There is such an eclectic mix,
but it's all so wonderfully
thrown together.
Somehow, it all works!
My friend who works here on Thursdays...
tells me that some people step inside the door
and then exit as quickly as they entered.
They obviously don't get it!
It's not their cup of tea.
What about you?
Can you handle the Hen House?
Somehow, the fact that you are reading this post
and have gotten this far...
makes me think the answer is, YES!
It very well could be your cup of tea!
I could not live with this "beautiful mess"
as my friends Eddie and Jaithan would call it,
but I certainly am inspired by it.
And after all,
isn't that what we're all looking for...
beautiful inspiration?
Enjoy the rest of the photos...
I took quite a few
as you can see.
I adore the patina on this vintage bistro chair.
Lovely old ironstone...
and a stash of copper molds.
I thought of Janet of French Blue when I came across this delicate and worn french box,
and Kellie of Cashon & Co. when I saw this!
I thought of Sande of A Gift Wrapped Life when I spied these
wonderful zinc gift tags!
I hope you enjoyed spending some time at the Hen House!
I'd love to know what, if anything, you couldn't have left without!
