I picked up a few goodies at a thrift store before heading off to an estate sale first thing this morning...

Ironstone Pitcher,  Flower Frog and Mesquite Burl Wood Belt Buckle

 I stood in line

with this vintage couple.

Aren't they cute?

I'm going back tomorrow to pick up my treasure.
Stay tuned...

Wow! You found some great things! I love the brown crazing on that fabulous pitcher! I have collected ironstone pitchers and platters for a long time and the more crazing and brown on them, the better! That belt buckle is amazing and that couple, to cute!

I found my bicycle! (my new old bicycle) The funny part is where I found it. The light bulb went off and the memories came flooding back!  All of a sudden I remembered the day I scored my awesome vintage bicycle at a garage sale on Briggs Avenue for $20!  I ran to the backyard where it had been covered up with a large brown tarp for the winter.  I squealed with delight at the sight of it!  I remembered when I bought it it had several small American flags attached to the front basket from being ridden in the 4th of July...

There is something about single beds... (Image via domino) I would love to sleep in a bunk bed again... if just for one night. I can just imagine the conversations that would take place in these rooms!   Summer memories are made here and here and here. Rooms with twin beds compel you to have a conversation before nodding off.   (Image via Pottery Barn Kids)   (Image via Elle Decor)   (Image courtesy of the desk of annie)   (Image via Beautiful Things to Share) (Cathy Kincaid)   Some more terrific twins...   (Image courtesy of gracie) (Image via Elle Decor)   (Image via HGTV) (Image via moodboard) (Image via Style Court) (Image via Just Beachy) Don't forget to enter my Giveaway!

Celebrating 28 years

28 years ago today I found my greatest treasure. Legends say that hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love,  joy and celebration.  Like a hummingbird, we aspire to hover and savor each moment as it passes, embrace all that life has to offer and to celebrate the joy of everyday.  The hummingbird's delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life's sweetest creation. Happy Anniversary Chris I love you madly!
