When you begin a story telling me someone has followed their passion in life, I'm immediately drawn in. Dave has very eclectic tastes, I'll have to go to his site. Thanks for sharing something I knew nothing about!
Thanks for sharing, feeling the need for a little inspiration this morning, and am always excited when I read a success story about someone following their heart.

My very most inspiring shop - I always have to stop for coffee at that complex when we go up to Sonoma (which is often). Sit in the courtyard, play with the dogs, listen to the wind chimes which are deep and thrilling, not chirpy little ice-cream vans - a moment of bliss....
La D: These are gorgeous images! What an amazing story ~ wish I could visit, but this is the NEXT best thing, for sure! I love the dog statues and the dog painting/print as well as well, EVERYTHING else! Happy Monday! xx P&H
Oh My!! I am so intrigued with all that is pictured here. I think I need to visit your friend Dave and his Passion speaks for itself, Happy Monday Kathysue
Wow! That is a fantastic spot. I would love to get lost in there for a whole weekend. I think my husband would enjoy it even more than I would. He is specially fond of treasure hunting. It must be the adventurer in every one of us that places like this beckons with the chant of the mermaids.
I found my bicycle! (my new old bicycle) The funny part is where I found it. Yesterday after finishing my post, " I'm longing for a new bicycle ," I was lamenting to my husband about how badly I wanted a bicycle of my own. He looked at me and said, " but you have a bicycle." (our vintage Colombia tandem beach cruiser) I said, "I know, I love the tandem but I would like my own bicycle." He said, "You do have your own bicycle... remember you bought one at a garage sale late last summer?" The light bulb went off and the memories came flooding back! All of a sudden I remembered the day I scored my awesome vintage bicycle at a garage sale on Briggs Avenue for $20! I ran to the backyard where it had been covered up with a large brown tarp for the winter. I squealed with delight at the sight of it! I remembered when I bought it it had several small American flags attached to the front basket from being ridden in the 4th of July...
There is something about single beds... (Image via domino) I would love to sleep in a bunk bed again... if just for one night. I can just imagine the conversations that would take place in these rooms! Summer memories are made here and here and here. Rooms with twin beds compel you to have a conversation before nodding off. 28 years ago today I found my greatest treasure. Legends say that hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love, joy and celebration. Like a hummingbird, we aspire to hover and savor each moment as it passes, embrace all that life has to offer and to celebrate the joy of everyday. The hummingbird's delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life's sweetest creation. Happy Anniversary Chris I love you madly!
