We buy farm fresh eggs from a young girl in the country every week. Since Spring has sprung her little hens have been laying the most exquisite variety of colored eggs. It's hard to out do mother nature!
Terri, I love fresh eggs. I go crazy at whole foods with all the blue and green eggs. I open all the boxes to find the perfect combination!!! Mother Nature does the best painting job on all of her elements!!! Have a wonderful Easter with your family sweet friend, xo Kathysue
Wow those are exquisite and look so beauitful as is, I think I would be hard pressed to change a good thing...and leave them as is. Just so pretty in their natural state!! Happy Easter!!
Our neighbors in the wine country have chickens that lay pale blue eggs. They are so adorable! Mother Nature knows what she's doing! I am taking it the natural route though and dyeing my eggs with the peels from a yellow onion. The eggs will be a burnt red. It's how the Armenians and Greeks have always done it. It is supposed to symbolize the blood of Christ. Purple cabbage turns them blue too. Happy Easter to you and your family. xo Delores
Your eggs look beautiful just the way they are... natural! We're lucky and get fresh eggs as well living in the country and aren't they the best? Happy Easter!
Good memories arise from your beautiful eggs... growing up we had a variety of different chickens and the eggs were always so beautiful. As a child I didn't appreciate them as much as I do now so of course our mom would let us color them, but only with homemade fruit & vegetable dyes. The older I get the more I appreciate the childhood I had ~ Jacque
I found my bicycle! (my new old bicycle) The funny part is where I found it. Yesterday after finishing my post, " I'm longing for a new bicycle ," I was lamenting to my husband about how badly I wanted a bicycle of my own. He looked at me and said, " but you have a bicycle." (our vintage Colombia tandem beach cruiser) I said, "I know, I love the tandem but I would like my own bicycle." He said, "You do have your own bicycle... remember you bought one at a garage sale late last summer?" The light bulb went off and the memories came flooding back! All of a sudden I remembered the day I scored my awesome vintage bicycle at a garage sale on Briggs Avenue for $20! I ran to the backyard where it had been covered up with a large brown tarp for the winter. I squealed with delight at the sight of it! I remembered when I bought it it had several small American flags attached to the front basket from being ridden in the 4th of July...
There is something about single beds... (Image via domino) I would love to sleep in a bunk bed again... if just for one night. I can just imagine the conversations that would take place in these rooms! Summer memories are made here and here and here. Rooms with twin beds compel you to have a conversation before nodding off. 28 years ago today I found my greatest treasure. Legends say that hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love, joy and celebration. Like a hummingbird, we aspire to hover and savor each moment as it passes, embrace all that life has to offer and to celebrate the joy of everyday. The hummingbird's delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life's sweetest creation. Happy Anniversary Chris I love you madly!
