We Got It!
This is my Mom before she even laid eyes on it!
Believe me when I tell you that she didn't come down from her "mangle high" for HOURS!
My sweet friend Sandy had it all set up and waiting for her in the Living Room of her charming cottage style home.
The first thing she noticed was this built in goose neck light.
A first for my Mom!
She's completely giddy now.
She immediately looked for the cord to plug it in and warm it up.
With her hand resting on the roller she prepares to iron a shirt she brought from home.
The moment of truth...
She begins by checking the heating element to make sure it's warming up.
She can't believe how pristine the muslin cover on the roller is. Usually they are burnt and stained.
She turns on the light and finds it works!
What a gift for 76 year old eyes!
Next, she checks out the pedals that she works with her knees that make the roller go up and down.
It all seems to be working!
So now, without further ado, my Mom will demonstrate how to iron a shirt on an Ironrite Mangle...
Oooops
I don't know what I did wrong but somehow I can't find the video clip I took with my iphone.
Of course I'm heartbroken because it was so special to record the excitement of the moment and I felt like I had recorded something very precious that my family and I would hold dear in our hearts for a long time :(
I promised you all a demonstration and you will get it. I'm going to go over to my Mom's today and do another video. Wish me luck!!!

Come see the bridal shower we gave yesterday and my first give-away. (I'm still a little tired to be honest).
