Pool Days
There's nothing like a day at the pool!
I'm not a sun worshiper, I'm actually white as a ghost, but there is something about Palm Springs that makes me want to lay around the pool all day. It's almost like I'm plugging myself in and recharging my batteries. It's the ultimate form of R&R. I just lay there and bask in the warmth of the sun, meditating and feeling unbelievably grateful for all my blessings and for the opportunity to take a break from the hustle and bustle of life with all it's stresses and worries. There is the added benefit of people watching, palm trees swaying, backgammon, pool drinks, reading, napping, and just being completely present in the moment. Of course there is always a downside and that is putting on a bathing suit... but I'm an expert at finding the cutest cover-ups!

I won't even put a suit on but maybe if I could cover me and not look like I was wearing a Moo-Moo then I might be so inclined.
I am white as a ghost with my mother's veiny legs so I am pretty scary at the pool. I just love people watching and sipping my Pina colada with a good book!

funny, because it's not that hot here yet, and last night it was windy and in the 70's and my sons INSISTED on getting in our non-heated pool. my 7 year old's lips were blue, and he was shaking, but he wouldn't get out. I think they're ready for summer. I can't wait to hear more about Palm Springs. jealous!
Head over to Indio, to the polo grounds and hang at the Tack Room Tavern. Got turned onto it in January. Very funky and fun.

YES! We did feel in the earthquake! A bit scary huh? I couldn't imagine being in a pool when that happend.. oh my goodness! We saw it was down in Mexico.. so sad. :(
